water seeps in the house,
the music goes on,
you and me on the couch
enjoying the warm embrace.
the shortcircuit wakes us up,
by the second floor was wet;
she screams and i jump as
the stereo erupts into a fire.
they dance on the water
gold glowing on the black surface;
the next moment, the walls
turn a valiant orange and
the fire's closing in on us.
i push her onto the floor
as i try to get our clothes wet;
then we run through the live walls
shielding her from the heat.
the road never felt so right
my head's screaming at me
for being a loving fool.
i could almost laugh at myself,
but the skies are becoming darker
and her voice loses touch
all i know, is she seems fine
me? i'm good...?
the world goes black.
